The Sports Day of 2019 was conducted on 16th February 2019 at St. Francis Assissi School Ground, Asokapuram. The competition started at 8.30 am with prayer song. The inauguration was done by Principal Rev. Sr. Catherine Paul CCM. Then competitions like 100 Meter, 200 Meter Race, Relay, Javelin Throw, Discuss Throw, Shot Put, Long Jump etc.,

The Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 2018 Batch of CCN, Aluva was organised on 17th January 2019 at 1.30pm.

Carmel College of Nursing celebrated Teacher's Day on 05/09/2018.

As a part of flood and associated events, Carmel College of Nursing conducted a distribution of some essential things and study items to SHVPS, Eloor on 03/09/2018. The Principal, Vice Principal, faculties and students of IV Year B.SC Nursing visited the school and distributed the flood kit among the students. A kit consist of iems such as notebooks, pencils, pen, eraser, sharpner, scale, plates, box, towel, bathing soap, washing soap, bucket cleaning brush etc., The faculties took awareness class for the students about water sanitation, prevention of communicable disease including leptospirosis etc., After the kit distribution, we distributed sweets to the students as a token of our love.

An Independence Day was celebrated on August 15th at Carmel Hospital. The program started at 8.30 am with a prayer by II Year B.Sc Nursing students. Welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Blessy Benny of IV year B.Sc Nursing. Sr. Jeeva CMC, Chief Accountant of Carmel Hsopital gave the Independence Day message. Flag hosting by Sr. Tessy Kurian, Local Manager, Carmel Hsopital. Patriotic Song, Speeches, Tablo and Flash Mob was perented by each batches. Finally program ended with National Anthem.

Our First College Day Celebration was held on 28th July 2018 at 5.30pm.

The Nurses Day celebration was held on 14th May 2018 at 2.30pm.

World Health Day celebration was organised in the Railway Station, Aluva by Second Year B.Sc Nursing Students. They organised a Street Play related to the theme. Also they organised Non Communicable disease Identification Camp. In this around 100 people attended.

Carmel College of Nursing celebrated the Arts Day 'Carpe Diem 2018' on 17th March 2018. The programme was started with Prayer song. Ms. Treesa Joseph, Fourth Year B.Sc Nursing Student, Union Scretary welcomed the gathering. Rev. Sr. Catherine Paul CMC, Principal, Carmel College of Nursing inaugurated the function. Followed by Mrs. Mereena Kuriakose, SNA Advisor felicitated the gathering. After thet students participated in various competitions such as Recitation, Elocution, Song, Dance, Skit, Mime, Bharatanatyam, Mono act, Fancy dress and Off Stage Competition such as Essay Writing, Poem & Story Writing. Overall championship won by Third Year B.Sc Nursing Students and  programme concluded with announcing the winners of the day. Individual Championship goes to Ms. Aiswarya R, Fourth Year B.Sc Nursing Students. Ms. Aleesha Varghese, Union Chairperson, Fourth Year B.Sc Nursing Student delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Carmel College of Nursing celebrated the Sports Day " Elegenza 2018 " on 03rd March 2018 at 8.30 am. The programme was started with Prayer Song, Mrs. Reena, Sports Secretary welcome the gathering. Rev. Sr. Catherine Paul CMC, Principal, Carmel College of Nursing inaugurated the function. After that our students participated in various competitions such as 100 mtr, 200 mtr Race, 4 x 100 Relay, Jwelling throw, Discuss throw, Shot put, Caroms, Chess, Badminton and Long jump. Over all championship secured by Ms. Reena Davis, Fourth Year B.Sc Nursing Student, and programme concluded at 4.30 pm with announcing the winners of the day.

The Graduation Ceremony was held on 20th January 2018 at Carmel Nursing College Auditorium, Aluva at 10.00 am. The programme commenced with the procession of the graduates & dignitaries with ceremonial manner. The stage opened with prayer dance which was very meaningful. Our local Manager Rev. Sr. Tessy Kurian CMC addressed the gathering and welcome to all. Rev. Sr. Prabha Grace , Vice Principal Presented a brief report on the last academic year. Msgr. Fr. Antony Narikulam inaugurated the function it is presided by Rev. Sr. Subha Maria CMC, Provincial, Mr. M P Jose , deputy Collector, The Cheif guest of the day awarded the certificates. Rev. Sr. Catherine Paul CMC, Principal directed the students to take the Oath.  Dr. Usha Marath, Principal, Lisie Hospital delivered a key note address and Dr Uma Lakshmi Damodhar, Cine Artist released the college magazine "Carmel glims 2018". Fr. Joseph Kallarackal, Vicar, St. Sebastian Church honoured the best ougoing and academic performer. Rev. Sr. Helen Mary CMC, Administrator, Carmel Hospital  and Dr. Prema George, Cheif Gynaecologist felicitated the graduates. A representive from 2013 batch shared their experiences in Carmel CON and Deepa George, Ass. Professor gave the Vote of thanks. the function completed with the lunch for all.

The Fourth Year B.Sc Nursing Students of Carmel College of Nursing conducted on Audio - Visual Aids Exhibition as a part of Nursing Education practicals. Inaugurated by the Principal and full support by the faculties. Inaugurated on 31/01/2018 at 10.45am. Audio Visual Aids which are used in Nursing Education are displayed both projected and non projected items presented. The First Second & Third Year students actively participated in the exhibition. School students visited the exhibition hall and they appreciated.  

The Obstetrics & Gynecology and Child Health Department of Carmel College of Nursing and Carmel Hospital celebrated World Breast Feeding week on 04/08/2017 at out patient department of Carmel Hospital Aluva. Dr. Prema George, Chief Gynecologist, Carmel Hospital inaugurated the programme and has given a message. Dr. Rajeeque, Paediatrician facilitated the programme and spoke about the theme of World Breast Feeding Week        "Sustaing Breast Feeding together". Administrator Rev. Sr. Helen Mary, Principal Rev Sr. Catherine Paul, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sr. Soumya Thomas and Nursing Superintendent Sr. Mable were present . The Third Year B.Sc Nursing Students were conduct a seminar on the theme and displaced the charts in the OPD. At the end of the programme the leaflets were distributed, nearly more than 100 patients were benefited from this programme.

The First Year B.Sc Nursing Students of Carmel College of Nursing conducted a Nutrition Project named "Kaipunyam 2017" under the guidance of Mrs. Rani T Varghese and the academics of the institution on 11th July 2017 in Nutrition Lab at Carmel College of Nursing, Aluva. The educational presentations and diet preparation were done on various dietary aspects like balanced diet for preschoolers, adolscents, heavy workers and pregnant women along with diet for obesity.

As a part of Antenatal Care, we the Carmel College of Nursing & Carmel hospital OBG Department together organizing Antenatal Counselling Programme with aim of acheiving "Healthy Mother and Healthy Baby" from April 2017 onwards under the leadership of Dr. Prema George, Cheif Gynaecologist, Carmel Hospital, Aluva and Sr. Joice Maria CMC (M.Sc Nursing in OBG) from Carmel College of Nursing.

Gurusaparya - the teacher's meet of the CMC teaching institutions was conducted on 01/07/2017 at St. Joseph's B.Ed College, Ernakulam. The meeting was highlighted on the qualities and the role of a teacher in  a student's life by Fr. Varghese Thottiyil through his motivating talk. The Meeting was very useful to the family members who attended the program.

International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2017. The whole college students actively participated the Yoga practice.

The Carmel College of Nursing celebrated the International Nurses Day on 12th May 2017, the birthday of Ms. Florence Nightingale. The programme started with a prayer song. Principal Sr. Prabha Grace give the key note address regarding the theme of the ICN. We are proud of the acceptance and appreciation of UN in acheiving the Millennium Development Goals through the ceasless effort of Nurses. We are ready to work hard to be a voice to lead in attaining Substainable Development Goals by 2030. Along with our students also displayed cultural programms.

The World TB Day programme was organized by the Second Year B.Sc Nursing Students of Carmel College of Nursing, Chunangamvely, Aluva on 24th March 2017 in the premises of Alwaye District Hospital. The different aspects of TB were depicted through exhibition and presentation of models, charts and posters. The response of hospital authorities and the public were beyond the words.

We are celebrating the Centenary Year of Fatima Apparition of Mother Mary (1917 - 2017) this year. As a part of it we brought the statue of Our Lady of Fatima to the Carmel Hospital and blessed with her real presence. We had special rosaries and prayers to Mother Mary. A  Staff and Students were actively participated in it.

We had conducted the SNA Sports Competition of Carmel College of Nursing on 25th March 2017 at St. Francis D'Assisi Senior Secondary School Ground, Asokapuram, Aluva. The Students were actively participated in the competitions and they showed their full enthusiasm with sports man spirit.

As a part of Educational Requirements, IV Years B.Sc Nursing Students of Carmel College of Nursing, Aluva organized two days exhibition on Audio Visual AIDS from 03/02/2017 to 04/02/2017. The programme was inaugurated by Prof Sr. Prabha Grace, Principal, Carmel College of Nursing around 300 students from various schools visited and benefited from this exhibition. All of them gave good feedback.

As a part of Education Programme Carmel College of Nursing organized a CNE on "Pressure Area Management" on collaboration with ArjoHuntleigh and Health Care India Pvt Ltd and KNMC under the guidance of Prof. Sr. Prabha Grace CMC, Principal, Carmel College of Nursing, Aluva. The programme started at 9.30 am with a prayer. Then the resource person and gathering were welcomed by Mrs. Athul Tintu Tomy, Asst Professor and Programme Co-ordinator, Carmel College of Nursing, Aluva. Ms. Sija Sawmya Sreedharan, Clinical Development Manager, ArjoHuntleigh and Health Care India Pvt Ltd conducted four sessions and demonstration of products by the Zonal Manager Mr. Shihas. Delegates were from Samaritan Hospital, Najath Hospital, Carmel Hospital and Carmel College of Nursing.

The World AIDS Day program was organised by the II Year B.Sc Nursing Students of Carmel College of Nursing, Chunangamvely, Aluva on 01 December 2016 in the premises of Alwaye Railway Station. The different aspects of the HIV /AIDS were depicted through Role Play, Charts & Posters. The hands own experiences of a HIV Positive person and his magic show was the real highlight of the day. The HIV Positive male shared his experience to the public about the issues that he faces in living with the disease. The person is supported by the Chavara Inspire Charitable Society. The Vice Principal of the college, Sr. Little Therese shared her views about the empowerment and support that are to be given to the HIV affected individuals. The response of the Railway Authorities and the public were beyond words.

Keralolsavam 2016 at the Panchayath Level was conducted on 19/11/2016 in the Community Hall near Panchayath Office at Keezhmadu. The Students from College participated in the events and secured prizes. They were selected to the block level partiicpation.

British Council is organising a Nursing Mission in Kochi, which is to identify and develop partnership between the institution in India and institution in UK in the Nursing field. As part of this mission we have four deligates of different universities from Btritish Council visited our college on 18th November 2016. Sarah Woolley from university of Staffordshire, Dr. Malcom from university of Bournemouth, Catherine McDougall from university of Plymouth and Hephzibah Samuel from Anglia Ruskin University. Each deligate took classes for each batches on following topics ie., Nurse Prescribing, Care of Volunerable Adults, Developing Advanced Practice in Nursing, Current Issues and Trends in Nursing Education and Practice which was very effective and interesting for the students. After that faculty discussion was arranged and foreign deligates presented their expectations and vice versa.

Swachh Bharat Pakhwada was celebrated on 14/11/2016 at Aluva Railway Station which include a Flash Mob, Health Talk on Cleanliness and Street Play on Importance of Clean India.

Nutrition Day Program of First Year B.Sc Nursing. As a part of the curriculam the first years conducted their Nutrition Day program on 18th July 2016 in the Nutrition Lab of Carmel College of Nursing. Diet plan preparation was followed by group presentations. All the faculty were present during the session. Mrs. Rani T varghese, Guest Lecturer supervised and evaluated the session.

Gurusaparya Teachers Meet (Authorised Education Agency, CMC Vimala Province, Ernakulam) was conducted on 02nd July 2016 at St. Joseph's B.Ed College Ernakulam.

Workshop on ECG, BLS, ACLS organized on 16th April 2016 in Carmel College of Nursing Auditorium. The classes taken by Mrs. Mini Paul MS.ANP.RN.CEN. The KNMC sanctioned 8 credit hours.
